Description

The OLMECA VACUUM range of Linear Transfer Drive enable linear motion under vacuum using a stiff high flux magnetic coupling. This removes the need for bellows or sliding seals, and provides an extremely robust design, fully compatible with UHV environments.

  • The TL ensures a linear transfer with a built in anti rotation mechanism.
  • The TLR combines both a linear translation and a rotation around the motion axis. A tightening screw insures the blocking of the rotation in any position when using a TLR.
  • The TLZ combines both a translation and a lift of a support at the end of the transfer rod.

The Linear Transfer Drive are supplied with CF UHV flanges and are available in two sizes, CF16 and CF63 to match the system flange and torque requirements of each application. The TLZ can be used for many applications such as transfer of sample and deposit on an holder, the positioning of slits in a synchrotron beam line …
The Linear Transfer Drive are bakeable up to 250oC and offer true UHV performance. The maximum torque and the angular precision depends on the type of magnet used for the magnetic coupling (SmCo or NdFeB).
